You “Can’t Pinch This” St. Patrick’s Day Clover Pins made from paper.
You won’t get pinched with this adorable St. Patrick’s Day pin.
I seem to be on a Silhouette kick lately, so let’s keep it going! Might as well go with the flow right? This little pin uses the Sketch and Cut feature of the Cameo 3.
Sketch and Cut are two tools I love to utilize now that I understand it!
Recently I shared a tutorial on making a St. Patty’s Day “Lucky” Bunting, well this fun little clover pin was created at the same time. In fact all I did was take out the “Lucky” lettering and add ” Can’t Pinch This” to the center and shrink the whole clover down.
Plus, talk about a time saver! I no longer have to sketch my image, unload my paper, load it back hoping I lined it up correct again, then cut. Nope. Nope. No! It is a simple as adjusting under your cut menu as to which is cut and which is sketched.
It only took me 6 months to figure this little time saver out.
Here is what you’ll need to create this adorable pin:
- Cameo 3
- Cut Mat
- Card Stock
- Pin Clasp
- Black Fine Tip Sharpie
- Green Marker
Using your Sketch and Cut option.
Let’s get started with our Sketch and Cut. Open your “Design Store”. Click on the “Library” tab in the upper right hand corner. Scroll till you find your four leaf clover, if you have purchased one from Design Store, and double click. You will see your clover shows on your “Design” screen now.
Now choose your font and type “Can’t Pinch This”, shrink it down to fit inside your clover, then shrink your whole image down to 2.8×1.9.
Click “Send” in the top right hand corner. This will send your image to the cut screen where we can adjust the setting for Sketch and Cut.
Click the Red clover and adjust your settings like shown above. This will Cut the clover.
Now click the Blue wording and adjust the settings like shown above. This will Sketch the wording out.
Find your favorite pen to load into the pen slot of your Cameo 3. I used a black fine tip sharpie and pen attachments, since I was using a Silhouette Pen. Pen attachments take sketching to a whole new level.
Example of pen attachments.
Twist the grey attachment into the white piece and set in the second holder that has a blue circle.
All that’s left to do is push “Send” and let it sketch and cut your pin. Once this is done add your dots, dashes and pen clasp to the back. It’s ready to wear and you won’t get pinched!
